Donate Life Texas Statement Regarding COVID-19

Updated 5/30/2020

As you are aware, Donate Life Texas takes our responsibility to the donation and transplant community seriously. Our priority is the safety and health of the recipients, donor families, living donors, and both the public and professional Donate Life communities.

Texas’ “Stay at Home” order which was intended to help slow the spread of COVID-19 came to an end. However, with the ongoing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the speed at which things are changing around us, Donate Life Texas will continue our efforts from home and cannot participate in any in-person public events until further notice. We encourage the public, and the donation and transplantation community to cancel in-person events as well.

We continue to follow the guidance of local, state and federal authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We ask that everyone take action to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by practicing physical social distancing, using good hygiene practices and self-quarantining after a potential interaction with an infected individual.

Donate Life Texas will continue to take a more online approach for local events and national observances and celebrations. Please join us on FacebookInstagramTwitter.

Thank you all for being partners in the lifesaving Donate Life mission, and helping make organ, eye and tissue donation possible.  If you have not done so already, register your donation decision online at
